David and Ashley both grew up in the Atlanta suburbs. Ashley spent her childhood riding, training and caring for horses on her parents' farm in Milton (then Alpharetta), GA. After obtaining her degree in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University, she spent several years working in the commercial construction industry designing mechanical systems for sustainable buildings and is LEED certified. But horses have always been her dream, so she is building Pony Tail Acres in hopes of building a life around her passion.
David has always held an interest in sustainable living and minimizing our impact on the planet. He has worked in the telecom and Internet industries in various capacities from development to management. He began researching how to turn his wife's dream of a horse facility into a reality and began to put the business part of the operation together. Together they are providing a premium horse care facility in North Georgia that combines a sustainable horse facility with a holistic approach to equine care and organic farming.
