We are!  Pony Tail Acres is ramping up the start of the 2013 show season by attending the HJ Fox show this weekend at the GIHP in Conyers.  Come out and watch us show.  Miss Victoria Renee Staples, the barn baby, will be making her star debut in the leadline class.  Pictures will be posted!

Have you been looking at boarding with us?  We have an open boarding spot!  We would love to show you around and let you see our barn full of happy and healthy horses.  We have just introducted Cavalor feed products into our feed line up and we are already pleased with the results!

Riding lessons!  Is it time for another spring special?  How about refer a friend to Pony Tail Acres to sign up for regular lessons and you get three additional rides free (must have a parent with you to help)!  Time in the saddle makes practice perfect, so use your rides to work on heels down and thumbs up!

Our first mare to foal for 2012 is Beau’s Autumn Joy (aka Joy), who is due any day now. Her 340 day was February 22. Her 345 day is Feb 27. Her previous owner and breeder says that she usually goes 348 days or somewhere around that, which would make March 1st our target date.

Please, if you see the mare looking uncomfortable with sweating, extreme rolling, biting at sides, or see white sac or legs (!) then call Dawn at 404-317-1052. Then call Ashley at 770-235-9996. Please only call if you are seeing her in distress which would mean actual labor.

Stay tuned to the foal watch channel to watch the little one’s first steps and nursing once the foal hits the ground!

It’s been way too long since an update, but when you have a newborn, that’s what happens!  So just to let you know we are updating our website with plenty of pictures and information and just in general making the site more user friendly.  Let us know if there is anything you would like to see added to the website while it is being revamped.  Cheers!

Fun in the sun....Horse Camp for Summer!

Is your son or daughter horse crazy?

Yes!  We will be offering limited summer camp once school lets out.  How about a week of intensive hands on horse and more horse for your child during the summer?  Check out our dates and rates below.  For any questions please call Ashley at 770-235-9996!

Dates:

Summer Camp 2- July 11th- 15th

Summer Camp 3- August 1st-5th

Costs per child: $275 per week

Great…because we certainly think it looks better, and we are doing the hard work to prove it!  Aside from continuously updating, repairing, and facelifting the horse facility, we are planting fruit bushes and trees.

Three new apple trees grace the gully that used to be full of small pine trees.

Pear tree is prepared for another bumper crop this year. We didn't plant this one, but we certainly will enjoy the big juicy pears!

Four blueberry bushes line the basement entrance. They already have giant green berries. I hope the birds don't find them!

And for a nice big accomplishment….the tack cabinets are done!  Thanks to my dad, Brad Landen for working so hard on the cabinets in his free time.  We appreciate the effort!
